Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist for a client on a contract basis in Redmond, Washington. In this role, you will oversee payroll operations for a diverse workforce, ensuring accurate and timely processing while adhering to tax regulations. This position also involves supporting HR functions, such as onboarding, benefits administration, and employee terminations. Responsibilities: • Process biweekly payroll for over 200 employees across multiple regions, including the United States and South America. • Ensure accurate payroll tax calculations and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. • Manage employee onboarding and offboarding processes, including banking information collection, benefits enrollment, and final pay calculations. • Collaborate with HR systems such as Rippling, Lattice, and Cornerstone to maintain employee records and streamline workflows. • Generate payroll reports and provide insights for financial and operational planning. • Support benefits administration, including 401k and RRSP functions, ensuring timely enrollment and updates. • Address employee inquiries related to payroll and benefits with professionalism and clarity. • Maintain compliance with company policies and legal standards during all payroll and HR-related activities. • Utilize Excel for payroll data analysis and reporting. • Assist with system upgrades or transitions when necessary to improve operational efficiency. Requirements • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in payroll processing and tax compliance. • Proficiency in HR systems such as Rippling, Lattice, Cornerstone, and Jazz HR. • Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service and communication. • Advanced knowledge of payroll regulations and tax laws. • Experience managing payroll for mid-sized organizations (101-500 employees). • Familiarity with benefits administration, including 401k and RRSP plans. • High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks. • Proficiency in Excel for data analysis and reporting.
