Payroll Specialist
Description We are looking for an experienced Payroll Specialist to join our client's team on a long-term contract basis in Saint Paul, Minnesota. This role involves ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing while adhering to compliance standards and supporting organizational financial operations. Responsibilities: • Manage end-to-end payroll processing activities to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. • Utilize accounting software systems, such as ADP Workforce Now, to maintain payroll records and execute payroll operations. • Collaborate with HR and finance teams to resolve payroll discrepancies and provide timely updates. • Maintain detailed records of payroll transactions and ensure proper documentation for audits. • Process employee payroll adjustments, including benefits, deductions, and other compensation changes. • Analyze payroll reports to identify and address errors or inconsistencies. • Support the implementation of payroll system updates and ensure seamless integration with existing processes. • Stay updated on payroll laws and regulations to ensure compliance and advise on necessary changes. • Respond promptly to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues and provide resolution. • Assist in preparing reports and documentation for financial audits and reviews. *Please note that all candidates are required to provide 2 recent supervisor or manager references in order to be considered for employment. Requirements • Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist or in a similar role. • Proficiency in using accounting software systems, including ADP Workforce Now. • Strong understanding of payroll functions, processes, and compliance requirements. • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism. • Effective communication skills to collaborate across departments. • Knowledge of payroll regulations and tax laws.
