Description Robert Half is partnering with one of its clients for a payroll specialist opening. This role will be responsible for processing weekly payroll and calculating payroll taxes. Responsibilities: • Process weekly payroll for union and non-union employees. • Administer payroll-related tasks such as 401k contributions and RRSP management. • Handle payroll tax calculations and filings in accordance with regulatory requirements. • Utilize accounting software systems to manage payroll operations efficiently. • Maintain detailed payroll records and prepare reports as needed. • Address and resolve employee payroll inquiries in a timely manner. • Collaborate with HR and finance teams to ensure seamless payroll integration. • Ensure compliance with state and federal labor laws and payroll regulations. • Assist in audits and reviews related to payroll processes. Requirements • Proven experience in payroll processing. • Familiarity with union and non-union payroll structures. • Proficiency in accounting software systems and payroll tools. • Strong knowledge of payroll taxes and regulatory compliance. • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills. • Effective communication skills to address payroll-related issues. • Ability to work independently and manage deadlines efficiently.
