Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join our team in Fresno, California. In this Contract-to-permanent position, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing while maintaining compliance with all relevant regulations. Responsibilities: • Process payroll for employees accurately and in compliance with company policies and legal requirements. • Manage payroll systems, including setting up and maintaining employee records and ensuring data accuracy. • Handle benefit-related payroll functions, including deductions and contributions. • Conduct audits to verify payroll accuracy and compliance with prevailing wage laws. • Collaborate with accounting teams to reconcile payroll accounts and resolve discrepancies. • Utilize accounting software systems such as QuickBooks to manage payroll processes effectively. • Ensure compliance with industry-specific payroll requirements, particularly for the construction sector. • Prepare and submit payroll reports to management and external agencies as required. • Stay updated on changes in payroll laws and regulations to maintain compliance. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in payroll processing and accounting functions. • Proficiency in accounting software systems, including QuickBooks. • Strong understanding of prevailing wage laws and compliance requirements. • Experience with benefit-related payroll functions and auditing processes. • Familiarity with payroll practices in the construction industry. • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
