Description We are looking for an experienced Payroll Specialist to join a team in Newark, Delaware. This is a Contract-to-permanent position offering a flexible schedule with four days onsite and one day remote each week. The ideal candidate will bring a strong finance background and a proven ability to manage payroll operations efficiently. Responsibilities: • Process and manage payroll operations using ADP Workforce Now and other related software systems. • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local payroll regulations. • Prepare internal reports and documentation related to payroll and finance functions. • Oversee benefits administration, including 401k plans and other employee benefits. • Collaborate with internal teams for cross-training and knowledge transfer. • Handle auditing tasks to ensure accuracy and completeness of payroll data. • Provide support during transitions and the onboarding of new payroll systems. • Maintain confidentiality and accuracy in handling sensitive employee information. • Monitor and address payroll discrepancies in a timely and efficient manner. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. • Minimum of 5 years of experience in payroll or finance-related roles. • Proficiency in ADP Workforce Now, Ceridian Dayforce, and other payroll systems. • Strong understanding of payroll regulations and compliance standards. • Experience with benefits administration, including 401k plans. • Excellent organizational and time-management skills. • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a hybrid environment. • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
