Description We are looking for a meticulous Payroll Clerk to join our team in Stamford, Connecticut. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, maintaining compliance with tax regulations, and supporting the payroll department's operations. This position offers a collaborative work environment and opportunities for growth. Responsibilities: • Process payroll for exempt and non-exempt employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. • Reconcile benefit billing and submit payments to accounts payable to meet deadlines. • Audit and balance quarterly and annual tax filings to ensure compliance. • Manage wage garnishments and maintain proper documentation. • Coordinate multiple payroll schedules efficiently and resolve discrepancies. • Calculate and process final payment documents for departing employees. • Provide assistance and support to other payroll team members as needed. Requirements • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software systems. • Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to handle shifting priorities. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with diverse teams. • Familiarity with payroll systems such as ADP Workforce Now, Ceridian Dayforce, and similar platforms. • Experience in auditing and accounts payable processes. • Knowledge of benefit functions and payroll tax regulations. • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy.
