Payroll Specialist — León & Guanajuato plants

Location: Guanajuato & León Guanajuato Plants


We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist to join our team in Guanajuato, Mexico. This role is key in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processes for our factory workers workforce, maintaining compliance with Mexican labor and tax regulations, and delivering exceptional service to employees and stakeholders.

What you will do:

Manage and process semi-complex and complex payroll data in collaboration with the payroll team.

Administer weekly payroll incidents in PeopleSoft.

Process special incentives, SIPASS, and Time Block interface transactions.

Provide onsite customer service to employees regarding payroll matters.

Prepare KPIs and special reports for the factory Finance team.

Support payroll configuration and planning during company mergers, acquisitions, or integrations.

Coordinate with HR & IT teams to ensure payroll system integration requirements are met.

Reconcile complex general ledger (G/L) payroll accounts.

Resolve payroll inquiries from employees and internal clients.

Process garnishments, withholdings, and levies, ensuring timely payments to relevant agencies.

What you bring:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Human Resources, or related field.

3–5 years of proven experience in a payroll role.

Strong knowledge of Mexican labor law and tax regulations.

Intermediate English proficiency (verbal and written).

Proficiency in payroll systems (PeopleSoft experience is a plus).

Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under tight deadlines.
