Payroll officer (Senior level)

ERM ANZ is currently recruiting for a full time Payroll Officer to join our Finance Team based in Sydney. 

THE OPPORTUNITY:

ROLE PROFILE:

The successful candidate will report directly to the Payroll officer and be responsible for a variety of duties across payroll.

Managing the monthly and fortnightly payrolls for a number of legal entities with around 500 staff, including communication with external payroll provider.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Roles and Responsibilities:

•    Monthly and fortnightly payroll processing.
•    Liaise with external payroll provider.
•    Review timesheets for leave taken and payroll processing.
•    Leave audit/reconciliation from timesheets to payroll system
•    New employee set up and staff termination processing.
•    Superannuation lodgement and payment.
•    Payroll tax lodgement and payment
•    Resolution of staff queries.
•    Follow up on missing timesheets.
•    Parental leave payments.
•    Purchased leave processing and reconciliation.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

ERM attracts staff that build excellent relationships with internal stakeholders and staff that are able to work in fast-paced project environments. To be successful for this role you will demonstrate and possess:

Over years 3 end to end payroll experienceHigh attention to detail and accurate data entryStrong and effective communication skillsIntermediate to advanced Excel and Microsoft Office skillsAbility to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholdersConfidentiality is a must
