Payroll Manager
Salary Mid-Point: $125,000 Location: Pittsburgh PA Job Type: Permanent IFG - Pittsburgh is actively recruiting a Payroll Manager who configures and manages integrated payroll system to include time entry and tracking, payroll tax, garnishments, and benefits.  The primary responsibilities will be to ensure an accurate and timely payroll process.   

Responsibilities of the Payroll Manager Leads all activities and staff engagement in the recording of hours of work, processing time records, compiling payroll data, maintaining payroll records, calculating payrolls and quarterly taxes, ensuring the timely and accurate distribution of pay and deductions Responsible for verifying all timesheets are received and that payroll system entries are accurate, complete, and on time. Manage employment status changes are made accurately and timely in areas such as terminations, wage adjustments, occupational classification changes, and employee demographics. Ensures and verifies that payroll deductions are properly established and withheld in the payroll system for wage garnishments, personal payroll deductions, union dues and other miscellaneous items Ensures that all necessary payroll related forms and reports are prepared and provided to the various agencies and customers as required, to include all federal, state, and local tax forms, Department of Labor reports, union reports, new hire reporting, Certified Payroll, and other information as needed Oversees unemployment compensation processing, including submitting responses to claims, submitting appeals, and participating in fact-finding or appeals meetings with state agencies Oversees and administers payment for employee short-term disability, long-term disability, and life insurance programs coordinating any disability benefits with other leave programs Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal laws and regulations with respect to payroll and retirement savings plans
Requirements of the Payroll Manager Bachelor's degree or equivalent Minimum of seven (7) years' experience using payroll software and processing payroll is required Extensive knowledge of the payroll functions including preparation, balancing, internal controls, and payroll taxes for a multi-state organization Strong organizational and project management skills and ability to deliver quickly with accuracy Outstanding attention to detail and process so as to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance Excellent communication and customer service skills
