Payroll Localization Team Lead

Are you organized, people-oriented, and interested in helping teams work better together? We're looking for a Payroll Localization Team Lead to support our Payroll Country Champions — a group of experts in payroll processes across different countries. In this role, you'll help keep the team connected, on track, and aligned with shared goals. In this critical role, you will ensure cohesive execution of our payroll strategy across regions, while empowering your team to be subject matter experts who drive compliance, standardization, and product evolution for Strada Pay.

Key Responsibilities

Team Support & Coordination

• Help organize and coordinate the daily activities of the Payroll Country Champions team.

• Set up regular check-ins, team meetings, and communication routines.

• Set performance expectations, monitor progress, and ensure accountability to goals, quality standards, and timelines.

• Promote cross-country collaboration and knowledge sharing to ensure a globally aligned, locally relevant payroll strategy.

• Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and client-centric thinking within the team.

Operational Excellence

• Ensure consistent delivery of high-quality, compliant payroll expertise across all assigned countries.

• Drive standardization of processes, tools, and documentation across the team, while enabling localized flexibility where needed.

• Work with the Payroll Systems Compliance Specialist to track upcoming legal changes and demonstrate delivery of changes to achievement and maintain compliance.

• Oversee the timely maintenance and accuracy of country-specific workbooks, compliance updates, and operational artifacts.

Stakeholder Collaboration

• Act as the primary liaison between Payroll Country Champions and cross-functional teams including Product Development, Compliance, Implementation, and Sales.

• Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to prioritize enhancements based on input from Country Champions.

• Support pre-sales and client engagements by coordinating SME input and ensuring solution readiness for each region.

Compliance & Product Enablement

• Guide the team in monitoring regulatory changes, ensuring timely updates to the Strada Pay platform.

• Champion global payroll compliance and best practices, balancing standardization with local market needs.

• Support the evolution of the Strada Pay platform by aligning team feedback with the product roadmap.

Qualifications and Experience

• 3+ years of experience in international payroll.

• Strong knowledge of payroll processes, regulatory environments, and compliance management.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools and collaboration platforms (Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.).

• Experience working with payroll software or SaaS platforms; product-focused mindset is a plus.

• Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and stakeholder management skills.

• Strong organization and time management skills.

• Willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced, global environment.
