Description Robert Half Contract Finance and Accounting is looking for a meticulous Payroll/HR Specialist to join our client in Sparks, Nevada. In this Contract-to-permanent role, you will play a key part in managing payroll operations, benefits administration, and HR compliance to ensure efficiency and accuracy. This position requires someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of balancing multiple priorities effectively. Responsibilities: • Process payroll accurately and on schedule, ensuring compliance with wage, tax, and deduction regulations. • Monitor and implement changes to payroll based on new hires, terminations, and salary adjustments. • Maintain and update employee records within the digital HR system with precision. • Prepare and reconcile payroll-related reports, including Federal and State taxes, W-2 forms, and benefit invoices. • Address employee inquiries regarding payroll and benefits, providing timely resolutions. • Collaborate with external HR resources to address company-related issues. • Ensure adherence to confidentiality protocols regarding employee compensation and payroll practices. • Handle workers’ compensation reporting • Manage garnishments and ensure accurate government reporting and compliance. • Work with payroll and benefit vendors to refine systems and resolve technical issues.
