Description We are looking for an experienced Payroll Coordinator to join our team in Cambridge, Massachusetts. In this Contract-to-permanent position, you will play a vital role in ensuring accurate and efficient payroll processing while working in a fast-paced environment. This is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented individual with a strong background in payroll and proficiency in PeopleSoft. Responsibilities: • Manage and execute full-cycle payroll processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with organizational policies. • Utilize PeopleSoft software to process payroll and resolve any system-related issues. • Maintain meticulous records of employee payroll data and handle inquiries regarding payroll discrepancies. • Collaborate with the finance and HR teams to ensure proper reporting and adherence to regulations. • Demonstrate initiative by identifying inefficiencies and proposing process improvements. • Ensure strict confidentiality when handling sensitive employee information. • Work effectively in a busy and dynamic environment, meeting deadlines with precision. • Conduct regular audits to verify payroll accuracy and compliance with labor laws. • Stay updated with changes in payroll regulations and implement necessary adjustments. • Support the hiring process by completing background checks and fingerprinting as required. Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in payroll coordination, with a demonstrated ability to manage full-cycle payroll. • Proficiency in PeopleSoft software is essential. • Advanced Excel skills, including the ability to create spreadsheets and analyze data. • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing error-free work. • Self-starter who thrives in a high-pressure, fast-paced workplace. • Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities. • Familiarity with payroll compliance and labor laws. • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information responsibly.
