Payroll Clerk
Job Title: Payroll SpecialistJob Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to manage and reconcile payroll discrepancies, maintain accurate payroll records, and provide payroll-related information to employees and managers. The ideal candidate will assist in administering enterprise system security access and prepare period-end reports while ensuring the timely processing of payroll activities.

ResponsibilitiesProcess timecards, time-off requests, wage computation, and detect and reconcile payroll discrepancies.Record employee information such as exemptions, transfers, and resignations to maintain and update payroll records.Provide information to employees and managers on payroll matters, tax issues, benefits, and deductions.Assist in administering enterprise system security access by organizational level concerning timecard approvals.Prepare period-end reports and reconcile payroll activity.Compile and submit statistical reports, statements, and summaries related to pay and benefits accounts to appropriate departments.Produce reports to verify time and attendance records, hours worked, pay adjustments, earnings, and deductions codes.Assist HR with employee setup and payroll processing issues, answering questions and providing accessible resources for payroll information.Administer supervisor security access for non-exempt timecards and troubleshoot login issues.Issue and record adjustments to pay related to retroactive increases or decreases and assist with employee garnishments.Assist with the timely processing of subpoena requests.Perform clerical office work such as scanning, filing, indexing, and sorting as needed.
Essential SkillsMinimum 1-2 years of payroll processing experience.Working knowledge and experience with ADP’s Workforce Now software.Proficient use of a PC, Microsoft Office products, and email.
Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with payroll tax and deductions.Familiarity with timekeeping and data entry.
Work Environment

The position is based in a corporate, cubicle environment with business casual attire. The working hours are Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM. The company culture is accommodating and understanding, offering merit raises over the years with performance.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Pomona, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $26.00/hr.
