Description We are looking for a skilled Accounting Specialist/Payroll Clerk to join our team in Bakersfield, California. This position requires a detail-oriented individual who is fluent in both English and Spanish, capable of managing payroll processes and benefits administration for a diverse workforce. The ideal candidate will bring strong organizational skills and a commitment to ensuring compliance with all payroll regulations. Responsibilities: • Process payroll for both salaried and hourly employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. • Maintain and update payroll records to reflect changes in employee information, tax withholdings, and benefits. • Calculate overtime, holiday pay, deductions, and other compensation adjustments. • Prepare financial documents, including income statements and tax filings, as required. • Support audits by verifying payroll data and providing necessary documentation. • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations related to payroll and benefits. • Address employee inquiries regarding payroll and benefits with professionalism and clarity. • Manage benefits administration tasks, such as enrollments, terminations, and responding to employee questions. • Utilize payroll software to perform payroll processing and maintain accurate records. • Adapt to new systems and tools introduced for payroll and benefits management.
