Description We are looking for a meticulous and organized Payroll Clerk to join our team in Frisco, TX. In this long-term contract role, you will play a vital part in ensuring accurate payroll operations while maintaining compliance with tax regulations. Responsibilities: • Process employee payroll by calculating wages, bonuses, deductions, and other compensation accurately. • Maintain detailed payroll records, including attendance, hours worked, and leave balances. • Ensure compliance with all relevant tax laws and government regulations during payroll processing. • Investigate and resolve discrepancies or errors in payroll data promptly. • Collaborate with the financial department to provide payroll-related data for reporting purposes. • Handle garnishments and other payroll adjustments with precision and care. • Utilize payroll software and Microsoft Excel to manage and streamline payroll operations. • Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues with professionalism and clarity. • Stay updated on changes to payroll policies and tax regulations to ensure compliance. Requirements • Proven experience in payroll processing within a mid-sized organization (101-500 employees). • Strong proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Excel. • Exceptional attention to detail to prevent errors in payroll calculations. • Solid mathematical skills for accurate computation of wages and deductions. • Effective communication skills to resolve employee concerns and relay payroll information. • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and meet strict deadlines. • Knowledge of payroll garnishments and adjustments. • Familiarity with tax compliance and payroll regulations.
