Description We are looking for a dedicated Payroll Clerk to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Baltimore, Maryland. This role is vital to ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for hourly employees across multiple projects. If you have a strong background in payroll operations, we encourage you to apply. Responsibilities: • Accurately process weekly payroll for hourly employees, ensuring compliance with deadlines and regulations. • Manage manual timesheets, verify clock-in and clock-out records, and reconcile data. • Import and validate time data from multiple sources, ensuring accuracy and completeness. • Perform basic calculations in Microsoft Excel using pre-designed formulas to support payroll operations. • Ensure all payroll submissions are completed by the end-of-day deadlines. • Address payroll discrepancies and resolve issues related to time reporting and wage calculations. • Collaborate with team members to maintain compliance with prevailing wage requirements and project-specific standards. • Support audits and reporting by providing accurate payroll documentation when required. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in payroll processing or a related role. • Proficiency in payroll software for payroll management. • Strong knowledge of full-cycle payroll operations. • Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, including the ability to use basic formulas for data entry and reconciliation. • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously. • Ability to meet strict deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively. • Strong communication skills.
