Description We are looking for a skilled Payroll Clerk to join our team in Richmond, Virginia. This is a long-term contract position where you will play a vital role in managing payroll operations, ensuring compliance, and maintaining accuracy in financial records. Responsibilities:
• Process payroll accurately and on time using accounting software systems.
• Maintain and update payroll records, ensuring compliance with local government regulations.
• Collaborate with the accounting team to manage accounts payable and auditing functions.
• Utilize systems such as ADP Workforce Now, Ceridian, and Dayforce to streamline payroll operations.
• Handle benefit-related functions, including deductions and contributions.
• Review and reconcile financial data to ensure accuracy in payroll transactions.
• Assist in resolving payroll discrepancies and addressing employee inquiries.
• Generate reports related to payroll and financial activities as required.
• Support the implementation and maintenance of payroll system upgrades or changes.
• Ensure adherence to organizational policies and procedures in payroll processes. Requirements • Proficiency in using accounting software systems for payroll management.
• Experience with ADP Workforce Now and Ceridian platforms.
• Familiarity with Dayforce and About Time systems.
• Strong knowledge of accounting functions, including accounts payable and auditing.
• Ability to handle benefit-related functions and payroll deductions.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial data management.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members.
• Prior experience in payroll operations within a government or similar organization.
