This is an in-office position that requires working at our Coppell, TX location from Monday to Friday. Summary: The Payroll Clerk will perform a variety of payroll duties, which may require knowledge of payroll systems entry work and process timelines. The Payroll Clerk must operate confidentially and efficiently with keen attention to detail in all tasks. Essential Duties: + Ensure accuracy of payroll records by maintaining a database with updates in status changes and employee information in Driveline web-based systems + Verify employee records and consult departments in the event of a discrepancy + Ensure pay rates are accurate and approved by the appropriate parties as applicable when transfers or address changes are requested + Liaise with the HR Department, Operations management, and PEO representatives to ensure accurate information for payment + Partner with the appropriate PEO to ensure employee withholdings are accurate + Process MIA terminations as approved by Human Resources + Check for duplicate non-bill entries and verify information is acceptable + File relevant reports and documents as needed + Utilize computer software for data entry and account management + Handle daily mail distribution to the appropriate PEO + Monitor list of live checks and communication about electronic receipt of payments + Serve as a backup for payroll processing + Other administrative and clerical tasks as assigned or requested, including but not limited to the following: maintaining client files, covering other tasks assigned as back up, process overflow paperwork, partake in additional projects and processes as deemed necessary by upper management. Education and Experience Requirements: + High School Diploma or equivalent + Experience with Payroll preferred but not required + Ability to maintain confidentiality in all matters + Strong organizational and planning skills + Ability to collect and analyze information from a variety of sources + Strong problem-solving skills + Keen attention to detail + Exceptional data entry skills + Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a customer-service orientation + Ability to work independently or as a team and manage stress effectively + Understanding of internal controls + Knowledge of federal and state payroll regulations and requirements *Waiting period and eligibility criteria apply for benefit programs.
