Kforce's client, a privately held company in Grand Rapids, MI, is seeking a Payroll Administrator to add to their team for a 100% onsite role. Due to their growing company, they need to add another team member to handle all of their union payroll.
Summary:
The Payroll Specialist supports weekly processing of multi-state payroll, including garnishments, benefits and taxes to approximately 100 employees consistent with federal and state wage and hour laws and union agreements.
Responsibilities include:
* Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll for all employees
* Critically review, audit and analyze current payroll processes to recommend and implement changes leading to best-practice operations
* Communicate actively with Lines of Business and Accounting/Finance to review cross-departmental impacts and reconcile data sharing
* Ensure employee payroll data set-up and update to reflect requested changes to current employee base, including one-time deductions, bonuses and other one-time earning, sick and vacation time, and is in line with both union and non-union contracts
* Process and monitors garnishment related duties
* Perform other related duties as required or requested to assist the HR and/or Accounting department
