Payroll Assistant
The Payroll Assistant performs administrative tasks related to the payroll for 9,000 + employees. Due to the sensitive information handled within the department, this position requires a high level of discretion, discernment, and professionalism. Reliability, accuracy, and a desire to serve others by assisting with various administrative functions are required. Responsibilities Assist with e-mail communication with all hospital locations Triage cases to the appropriate party in the case management system Send daily reminder e-mails to all hospital locations Approve basic transactions in Dayforce Pull various reports Format reports as needed Enter retro payments Complete employment verifications Assist teammates and supervisors with basic interpretation of payroll policies and procedures Arrange meetings for the team as needed Maintain confidentiality of company and teammate information Prepare and distribute labor reporting Communicate effectively with HR, Finance, and Accounting as needed Provide daily administrative support including copying, scanning, preparing forms, processing confidential reports and documents, and filing electronic and hard copy files Assist the Payroll team with projects Other duties as assigned Qualifications High school degree or GED equivalent, plus 1 year of experience in a professional setting required Associate or Bachelor's degree, preferred 1-3 years of Payroll experience, preferred Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Excellent oral and written communication skills Accuracy, attention to detail, and good organizational skills Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment Strong time-management skills and ability to multi-task Strong client service focus and ability to work effectively in a team environment Self-motivation and ability to work with minimal supervision Benefits Work with an organization recognized as #1 in Healthcare by Newsweek’s Most Loved Workplaces in 2024.
