Payroll and Benefits Coordinator
Description Robert Half is looking for a skilled Payroll and Benefits Coordinator to join our client's team in Maryville, Tennessee area. In this role, you will manage payroll processes and administer employee benefits, ensuring compliance with multi-state regulations and organizational policies. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in payroll systems, benefits administration, and accounting practices to support our growing workforce. Responsibilities: • Process payroll accurately for 101-500 employees, ensuring timely payments and compliance with regulations. • Administer employee benefits programs, including 401k and RRSP plans, and provide support for enrollment and inquiries. • Manage multi-state payroll operations, ensuring adherence to state-specific laws and guidelines. • Utilize Workday ERP and About Time systems to streamline payroll and benefits functions. • Conduct regular audits of payroll and benefits data to ensure accuracy and compliance. • Collaborate with the accounting team to reconcile payroll accounts and address discrepancies. • Provide expertise in benefits payroll administration, including open enrollment processes and employee communications. • Maintain detailed records and documentation for payroll and benefits processes. • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in payroll and benefits administration. • Stay updated on industry trends and changes in payroll and benefits regulations. The position is 100% onsite and candidates must live in the Knoxville and surrounding areas, For immediate consideration please contact Lisa Coker at 865-370-2084 to set up an interview Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in payroll and benefits administration. • Proficiency in using Workday ERP and About Time systems. • Strong knowledge of multi-state payroll laws and regulations. • Experience managing benefits programs, including 401k and RRSP plans. • Ability to perform payroll and benefits audits with attention to detail. • Familiarity with accounting principles and reconciliation processes. • Effective communication skills to support employee inquiries and collaborate with cross-functional teams. • Proven ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
