Payroll and Benefits Coordinator
Description Robert Half is recruiting for a detail-oriented Payroll and Benefits Coordinator to oversee payroll processing and benefits administration for our organization. Based near the Knoxville/Maryville, Tennessee area, this role is essential in ensuring accurate compensation and benefit services for employees across multiple states. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in payroll systems, benefits management, and compliance with organizational and regulatory standards. Responsibilities: • Process and maintain payroll for a multi-state workforce, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations. • Administer employee benefits programs, including 401k plans and other retirement savings accounts. • Collaborate with internal teams to audit payroll and benefit data, addressing discrepancies promptly. • Utilize Workday ERP and other payroll systems to streamline payroll and benefits workflows. • Handle benefits enrollment, changes, and terminations while maintaining detailed records. • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to payroll and benefits. • Prepare and deliver reports on payroll and benefits activities for management review. • Support employees with payroll and benefits-related inquiries, providing clear and accurate information. • Conduct regular audits to ensure the integrity of payroll and benefits data. • Assist with accounting functions related to payroll and benefits, including reconciliations. The position is 100% onsite and candidates must live in the Knoxville and surrounding areas, For immediate consideration please contact Lisa Coker at 865-370-2084 to set up an interview Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in payroll and benefits administration. • Proficiency in multi-state payroll processes and benefits management. • Hands-on experience with Workday ERP and similar payroll systems. • Strong knowledge of 401k and other retirement savings account administration. • Familiarity with accounting functions and auditing practices. • Ability to manage payroll for organizations with 101-500 employees. • Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills. • Knowledge of compliance standards for payroll and benefits across various jurisdictions.
