We are growing rapidly in the Latin America (LATAM) regions. As a LATAM Payroll Analyst, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing payroll processes across Latin America regions for our company. You will ensure accurate and timely payroll processing while adhering to local regulations, company policies, and best practices. You will be the subject matter expert in Argentina, Colombia, Mexico and Peru payroll. Your role will involve collaborating with internal stakeholders, external vendors, and governmental agencies to address payroll-related matters efficiently.
Primary Responsibilities:
Payroll Processing: Execute end-to-end payroll processing for LATAM regions, including data entry, calculation of wages, deductions, and taxes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local laws and company policies.
Compliance: Stay up-to-date with local payroll regulations, tax laws, and labor laws in LATAM countries to ensure compliance. Implement necessary changes to payroll processes and procedures to reflect legal requirements.
Vendor Management: Coordinate with payroll service providers and other external vendors to ensure smooth payroll operations. Review vendor performance and resolve any issues or discrepancies promptly.
Data Management: Maintain accurate employee payroll data, including new hires, terminations, salary changes, and benefits deductions. Ensure data confidentiality and integrity in compliance with data protection regulations.
Reporting and Analysis: Generate payroll reports and analytics to provide insights into payroll costs, trends, and discrepancies. Analyze payroll data to identify areas for process improvements and cost savings.
Employee Inquiries: Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries related to payroll, tax withholdings, and deductions. Provide timely and accurate responses to resolve payroll-related issues.
Audit and Reconciliation: Conduct periodic audits and reconciliations of payroll data to ensure accuracy and compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.
Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline payroll processes, improve efficiency, and enhance the payroll experience for employees. Implement automation and technology solutions where applicable.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with ES, Finance, Legal, and other departments to address payroll-related matters, including employee benefits, compensation changes, and regulatory updates.
Training and Support: Provide training and support to business partners on payroll processes, policies, and systems. Ensure understanding and compliance with payroll-related guidelines and procedures.
Experience/Skills Required:
* Minimum 5 years of experience in payroll administration, preferably in a multinational company with exposure to LATAM regions
* In-depth knowledge of payroll laws, regulations, and practices in LATAM countries (Mexico preferred)
* Passionate about finding process efficiencies and scaling processes.
* Effective communication skills with the ability to interact with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
* Experience with payroll software and systems, preferably with knowledge of Workday, ADP, or similar
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex payroll data and identify trends and discrepancies.
* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in payroll processing and documentation.
* Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
* Proficiency in English and Spanish.
