Robert Half is seeking a highly analytical Payroll Analyst to join a dynamic organization. This role is crucial for ensuring accurate payroll processing, compliance with regulations, and providing insightful analysis to enhance payroll operations. Responsibilities:
+ Process payroll for employees accurately and on schedule, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws.
+ Analyze payroll data to identify patterns, discrepancies, or opportunities for process improvements.
+ Prepare and generate payroll reports for management, including tax summaries, deductions, and benefit contributions.
+ Investigate payroll discrepancies and assist in resolving employee inquiries regarding payroll issues.
+ Audit payroll records to ensure accuracy and consistency in employee compensation and taxation.
+ Maintain and update employee records, including salary changes, bonuses, reimbursements, and other applicable payroll items.
+ Collaborate with Human Resources and Accounting teams to ensure payroll accuracy and alignment with benefits and tax codes.
+ Assist with year-end reporting, including preparation and submission of W-2s and other required payroll documentation.
Requirements
+ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
+ 2-3 years of experience in payroll administration or payroll analysis roles is required.
+ Proficiency in payroll systems such as ADP, Paylocity, Workday, or similar platforms.
+ Strong understanding of payroll regulations, wage laws, and tax compliance requirements.
+ Advanced Excel skills (e.g., formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUP) and comfort working with large datasets.
+ Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
+ Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain payroll topics effectively.
