Payroll Analyst

The El Salvador Payroll Analyst is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for employees in El Salvador. This role involves handling payroll calculations, statutory compliance, tax deductions, reconciliations, and addressing employee payroll queries. The analyst will collaborate with HR, Finance, and external payroll vendors to ensure smooth payroll operations while adhering to local labor laws and company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

Process end-to-end payroll for employees in El Salvador on a biweekly/monthly basis.Ensure compliance with Salvadoran labor laws, tax withholdings, social security (ISSS), AFP, and other statutory deductions.Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to validate employee compensation, benefits, bonuses, and deductions.Ensure payroll calculations done by third party are accurate.Ensure business units submit overtime hours according to the deadlines established.Maintain and update payroll records, audit reports, and employee files.Address employee payroll inquiries in a timely and professional manner.Assist with payroll reconciliations, audits, and internal/external reporting.Ensure accurate submissions of employer obligations to government entities (e.g., Ministerio de Trabajo, ISSS, AFP, Hacienda).Support year-end processes, such as Aguinaldo and annual income declarations.Identify process improvements to streamline payroll operations and ensure data integrity.Process end-to-end payroll for employees in El Salvador on a biweekly basis.Ensure compliance with Salvadoran labor laws, tax withholdings, social security (ISSS), AFP, and other statutory deductions.

Qualifications & Skills: 

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.2+ years of payroll experience, preferably within El Salvador.Strong understanding of Salvadoran labor law, social security, and tax regulations.Proficiency in payroll systems and Microsoft Excel (intermediate to advanced).Experience with HRIS/payroll software (e.g., ADP, Workday, or local platforms) is a plus.High attention to detail, confidentiality, and data accuracy.Effective communication skills in Spanish; English proficiency is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

 Experience working in a multinational company (MNC) or shared services environment.Familiarity with HRIS systems like Workday, or ADP.
