Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Analyst to join our team in New Brighton, Minnesota. In this role, you will oversee the accurate and efficient processing of payroll across multiple locations while ensuring compliance with legal and organizational standards. This is a long-term contract position offering the opportunity to collaborate with various teams and contribute to critical payroll operations in the healthcare industry.
Responsibilities:
• Process payroll requests promptly and accurately using payroll software.
• Address employee inquiries related to payroll by gathering and analyzing relevant information.
• Review and verify timecards and payroll data to ensure accuracy and resolve any discrepancies.
• Prepare and post bi-weekly journal entries into the accounting system.
• Generate month-end reports, including allocation reports and dashboards, to support financial analysis.
• Reconcile payroll liabilities with the general ledger to maintain financial accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations.
• Manage garnishment reporting, 401(k) reporting, and benefit-related payroll tasks.
• Conduct bi-weekly employee orientation sessions and site-specific training as needed.
• Maintain payroll records and procedures while safeguarding employee confidentiality. Requirements • Proven experience managing full-cycle payroll processes, including multi-state payroll for over 500 employees.
• Knowledge of 401(k) administration, benefits payroll, and garnishment reporting.
• Familiarity with payroll software such as UKG Pro or similar systems.
• Strong understanding of federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations.
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to identify and resolve discrepancies.
• Proficiency in accounting tasks such as journal entries and payroll reconciliations.
• Effective communication skills to interact with employees and teams at all levels.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive payroll information with care.
