Primary responsibilities will be to execute the company's Huntsville biweekly payroll processes, wage attachment compliance, payroll GL booking and expense reimbursement (Concur), while providing superior customer service to 2,000+ employees of all levels. Support production teams with daily, weekly and monthly labor hours reporting and analysis. Secondary responsibilities will include innovation initiatives, automation implementations, acting as COR360 superuser, managing DLE/POU program at the plant and special projects.
**ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:**
+ Ensure payroll hours are properly recorded and processed accurately as well as timely
+ Actively participate and lead enhancement projects for payroll systems and processes
+ Perform routine biweekly payroll data entry – commissions, deductions, new hires, terms, etc.
+ Partner with the Payroll and HR teams to coordinate and execute biweekly payroll processing with location personnel
+ Process employee travel reimbursements and expense reporting through Concur
+ Process employee garnishment, child support and levy wage attachments, and stay up to date on regulatory compliance requirements
+ Develop/train supervisors and managers on proper time reporting usage
+ Prepare daily & weekly labor hours (efficiency) reporting
+ Provide superior customer service to employees with payroll and expense reporting questions
+ Maintain payroll procedures manual; respond to wage verifications; track tax rates and changes
+ Work with Payroll team to perform special payroll runs (i.e. annual bonus, stock, etc.)
+ Participate in biweekly payroll communication meeting
+ Interact with internal (Human Resources, Accounting, and Audit) contacts, and troubleshoot and work with payroll team to resolve issues
+ Act as COR360 Superuser for the plant – working with outside vendors on invoicing issues, receiving, coding and routing non-PO invoices
+ Investigate invoice questions as needed
+ Manage plant DLE/POU program for the 200+ salaried staff population
+ Maintain confidentiality
+ Develop cross-functional relationships
+ Assist in special projects as needed
**SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & EDUCATION:**
+ 4 year degree in Accounting or related field required, Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance preferred
+ Proficient skills with various (excel, PowerPoint, access) Microsoft tools required. MAPICS, KRONOS, Dimensions, or Workday experience a plus.
+ Ability to organize, prioritize, meet deadlines, and work independently
+ Successful candidate will have excellent communication and leadership skills with previous experience working with all levels of the organization.
+ Ability to work weekend/holidays to support payroll execution as needed
+ Demonstrated skill working with and influencing cross functional teams.
+ Successful candidate will be able to work well in a matrixed organization and able to support multiple managers.
