Payroll Administrator

Key Responsibilities + Process payroll for employees accurately and on schedule, including regular, overtime, and special payments. + Maintain and update payroll records, including changes in employee status, deductions, and benefits. + Ensure payroll compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations, as well as company policies. + Prepare and file payroll tax reports, including W-2s, 1099s, and quarterly/annual filings. + Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, resolving discrepancies and providing detailed explanations as needed. + Reconcile payroll accounts and prepare reports for management, including payroll-related expenses, taxes, and adjustments. + Collaborate with HR and finance teams to ensure seamless integration of employee data, benefits, and deductions. + Stay updated on changes to payroll regulations and identify opportunities to improve processes. Requirements + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. Equivalent experience will also be considered. + Minimum of 2-5 years of payroll administration experience. Multi-state and union payroll experience is a plus. + Proficiency in payroll software such as ADP, Paychex, or Workday and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel. Experience with ERP systems is a bonus. + Strong analytical skills with exceptional accuracy and attention to detail in data processing. + Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to handle sensitive information with discretion. + Solid understanding of payroll laws, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
