Payroll Administrator
Seeking a Payroll Administrator in the Minneapolis Area!!

Job Description

The Payroll Administrator is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of payroll processes. This includes reviewing and reconciling project timecards, preparing and reviewing weekly payroll, and managing off-cycle checks. The role requires effective communication with team members to resolve payroll inquiries and liaising with project teams. Additional duties include managing unemployment earnings requests, updating payroll records, and handling union reporting and garnishments.

ResponsibilitiesReview and reconcile project timecards prior to weekly pay run.Prepare and review weekly payroll, including data entry and associated reporting.Prepare daily off-cycle checks, including retroactive pay as needed.Research and resolve payroll inquiries from team members via phone or email.Act as a liaison for project teams regarding payroll matters.Complete unemployment earnings requests.Set up, update, and terminate salary and pay information for craft payroll team members.Build and maintain relationships with individuals from diverse backgrounds and organizational levels.Perform additional payroll duties such as union reporting, garnishments, and child support updates.Essential SkillsProficiency in payroll processes, including historical corrections and labor hours.Experience with prevailing wage calculations.Strong skills in Excel, including data views, graphing, and pivot tables.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor's or Associate's degree with 2+ years of payroll experience.Experience with UKG or Oracle is essential.Work Environment

The role requires working in the office on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, with the option to work from home on Wednesday and Friday. The team operates from 7 AM to 5 PM, with flexible start times between 7 AM and 8 AM. This position is hourly, with overtime compensation for work exceeding 40 hours per week. The company has a large, modern office environment with a strong focus on team building and a positive culture. The payroll department consists of over 12 members across three teams, handling diverse payroll functions for a large employee base. The organization processes payroll internally for all US states.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $30.00/hr.
