Payroll Administrator
Description We are looking for an experienced Payroll Administrator to join our team in Dallas, Texas. In this role, you will oversee the full payroll cycle, ensuring accuracy and compliance for weekly and biweekly payroll for approximately 350+ employees. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with various departments. Responsibilities: • Process weekly and biweekly payrolls, including commissions and mileage reimbursements, in a timely and accurate manner. • Maintain and update employee records using Great Plains Dynamics and other payroll systems. • Prepare and file quarterly 941 reports, annual 940 reports, and year-end W2 and 1095-C documents. • Manage 401k processes, including reporting, deductions, and deposits. • Handle payroll reconciliations, journal entries, and payroll tax preparation. • Collaborate with the Controller to provide cash report data for cash management transfers and general ledger postings. • Administer group health services and assist employees with benefits-related inquiries. • Ensure compliance with payroll laws and regulations, including garnishments and special deductions. • Support miscellaneous accounting tasks and generate ad hoc reports as requested by management. • Maintain employee records in a paperless environment, ensuring data security and accessibility. Requirements • A minimum of 5 years of experience in payroll administration. • Proficiency in Microsoft Great Plains Dynamics and Great Plains Accounting. • Comprehensive knowledge of full-cycle payroll processes and related tax reporting. • Experience managing payroll for 300-500 employees, including garnishments and manual payroll adjustments. • Familiarity with payroll laws and regulations, including tax returns and special payroll deductions. • Strong skills in reconciling payroll accounts and preparing journal entries. • Ability to process biweekly payroll efficiently and accurately. • Excellent communication and organizational skills to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
