Description
Our client, north of Houston, is looking for a Payroll Administrator. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can effectively manage high-volume payroll operations for over 1,000 employees while ensuring accuracy and compliance. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in handling garnishments, employment verifications, and unemployment claims, along with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Responsibilities:
• Process payroll for a large workforce of 1,000+ employees with a focus on accuracy and timeliness.
• Manage garnishments, ensuring proper deductions and compliance with applicable laws.
• Handle employment verifications and respond to unemployment claims promptly and efficiently.
• Utilize advanced Microsoft Excel functions, including data exporting, sorting, filtering, and formula creation, to streamline payroll processes.
• Conduct audits to verify payroll data accuracy and identify discrepancies.
• Collaborate with HR and finance teams to address payroll-related inquiries and resolve issues.
• Support multi-state payroll processes, ensuring compliance with varying state regulations.
• Maintain detailed records and documentation for payroll activities.
• Provide exceptional customer service to employees regarding payroll concerns and inquiries.
• Assist in benefit-related functions as they pertain to payroll processing.
Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in high-volume payroll processing for 500+ employees.
• Proficiency in handling payroll garnishments and related compliance.
• Advanced skills in Excel, including the ability to work with formulas, filters, and large datasets.
• Experience with multi-state payroll operations and knowledge of state-specific regulations.
• Strong auditing skills to ensure payroll accuracy and compliance.
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities to meet strict deadlines.
• Effective communication skills for addressing employee concerns and collaborating with internal teams.
• A degree in a related field is preferred but not required.
