Lana Funkhouser with Robert Half is looking for a meticulous and motivated Payroll Administrator to join our team in Boise, Idaho. In this role, you will oversee payroll processing and support employee benefit programs while ensuring compliance with company policies and state/federal regulations. This position involves problem-solving, detailed analysis, and collaboration with managers and employees to address payroll-related inquiries.
Responsibilities:
• Manage and administer the timekeeping system, ensuring compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.
• Process semi-monthly payroll accurately and in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with Human Resources and the Payroll and Benefits Manager to maintain the integrity of employee data.
• Prepare and process payroll taxes, garnishments, liens, and other miscellaneous payments.
• Conduct payroll reconciliations and assist with internal audits to ensure accuracy.
• Prepare required payroll reports and handle multi-state tax filings, including annual W-2 and 1095 forms.
• Provide support for payroll-related inquiries and resolve issues efficiently.
• Stay updated with multi-state payroll laws and ensure adherence to all relevant regulations.
• Assist in identifying and implementing opportunities for process improvements within the payroll function.

Requirements • Minimum of two years of experience in payroll processing.
• Strong understanding of timekeeping and payroll systems.
• Familiarity with employment laws impacting payroll and benefits, including multi-state regulations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage information from multiple sources accurately.
• Adaptability to changing priorities and a fast-paced work environment.
• Customer service-oriented approach with problem-solving and forward-thinking skills.
