Payment Review Specialist – Job Summary
+ Identify payment review opportunities using:
+ SMS Contract Management variance reports
+ Business Services follow-up
+ SMS account queries
+ Investigate and document underpaid accounts
+ Prepare and send underpayment notifications with full supporting documentation
+ Conduct follow-up communication with third-party payors
+ Track and analyze trends in payment review results
Qualifications
+ Education:
+ Bachelor’s degree preferred
+ Equivalent work experience accepted
+ Experience:
+ At least 2 years in patient accounting or contracting in a healthcare setting
+ Knowledge:
+ Familiarity with insurance, collections, and Business Office procedures
