Payment Review Specialist – Job Summary
Identify payment review opportunities using:
SMS Contract Management variance reports
Business Services follow-up
SMS account queries
Investigate and document underpaid accounts
Prepare and send underpayment notifications with full supporting documentation
Conduct follow-up communication with third-party payors
Track and analyze trends in payment review results
QualificationsEducation:
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Equivalent work experience accepted
Experience:
At least 2 years in patient accounting or contracting in a healthcare setting
Knowledge:
Familiarity with insurance, collections, and Business Office procedures
