Payment Assistant
Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Payment Assistant to join our non-profit organization in Los Angeles, California. This long-term contract position offers an excellent opportunity to support the HR department, specifically within the Benefits unit, by managing vendor payments and invoice processing. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounts payable and a commitment to ensuring accuracy in financial transactions. Responsibilities: • Process invoices and payments for benefits vendors with precision and attention to detail. • Collaborate with the HR Benefits unit to ensure payment schedules are met and vendor relationships are maintained. • Verify and audit financial records to ensure compliance with organizational policies. • Utilize financial systems such as ADP Workforce Now and Ceridian to manage payment workflows. • Address and resolve payment discrepancies in a timely manner. • Assist in generating reports related to accounts payable activities for internal use. • Maintain organized records of transactions and documentation for auditing purposes. • Provide exceptional customer service to internal teams and external vendors. • Contribute to process improvements within the accounts payable functions. • Support the Benefits unit in administrative tasks as needed. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable or a related financial role. • Proficiency in ADP Workforce Now, Ceridian, or similar financial systems. • Strong understanding of HRMS and benefits-related payment processes. • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. • Ability to handle sensitive financial data with confidentiality. • Effective communication skills for interacting with vendors and internal stakeholders. • Familiarity with auditing practices and compliance standards. • Customer service experience in a structured and detail-oriented environment.
