Pay Master cum General Cashier
**Key Responsibilities** **Paymaster Duties** Prepare, process, and review monthly payroll for all employees in compliance with local laws, tax regulations, and hotel policies. Ensure accurate calculation of salaries, overtime, service charges, allowances, deductions, and benefits. Maintain up-to-date employee payroll records and ensure confidentiality of all payroll information. Coordinate with HR to ensure employee movements (new hires, resignations, transfers, promotions, etc.) are accurately reflected in the payroll. Process and submit statutory payments (e.g., tax, social security, provident fund, gratuity, etc.) on time. Prepare payroll-related reports and reconciliations for management review. Respond to employee payroll queries promptly and professionally. **General Cashier Duties** Act as the hotel’s General Cashier, responsible for collecting, consolidating, and depositing daily cash and check collections from all outlets. Verify deposit slips against cashier reports and ensure accuracy before depositing to the bank. Maintain and safeguard the hotel’s cash float, ensuring proper custody, security, and issuance to authorized personnel. Conduct surprise cash counts of outlet cashiers and report any variances to management. Record and reconcile petty cash disbursements with proper supporting documents and approvals. Monitor foreign currency exchanges (if applicable) and ensure compliance with hotel policies. Prepare daily General Cashier reports and maintain accurate cash records for audit purposes. **Compliance & Reporting** Ensure strict adherence to hotel financial policies, internal control procedures, and statutory requirements. Assist in month-end closing activities related to payroll and cash. Provide required reports and documentation to internal and external auditors. Identify and suggest improvements in payroll and cash-handling processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
