Location: Elmira, MI SUMMARY To oversee and direct floor employees and coordinate work flow through the East Jordan Pattern Set Up. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. + Promotes safety awareness, accident prevention, and employee involvement regarding a safe work environment. Ensures employees understand the safety expectations of the organization. + Promotes the company culture, the mission and vision, and the core values of the company. + Conducts daily and monthly safety meetings for the pattern set up. + Distributes, coordinates, and monitors work flow within the pattern set up. + Uses knowledge of pattern equipment to perform regular reviews to ensure that pattern set up machinery and equipment is maintained properly. + Ensures the accuracy of new and modified pattern configurations, while attempting to minimize labor and material costs within the pattern set up and to complete tooling requests by expected tooling completion dates (ETCDs) noted on the pattern priority sheet. + Initiates sampling of new or modified tooling by issuing electronic sample traveler forms. + Works closely with other EJ Ardmore departments (maintenance, melt, mold, grind, and technical services) to help achieve daily production goals. + Promotes safety awareness, accident prevention, and employee involvement with regard to a safe work environment. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
