Jennie Stuart Health is seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a full-time, regular Patient Transporter. This role is vital in ensuring the smooth operation of our healthcare facility by providing timely and safe transportation of patients, medical records, specimens, and equipment to various areas within the hospital. As a Patient Transporter, you will be at the heart of our patient care, often being one of the first faces our patients see, and therefore, you play a crucial role in enhancing the patient experience through your interactions and service. Your responsibilities will include transferring patients to and from their beds, wheelchairs, or stretchers, as well as assisting patients with mobility as needed. You will be required to follow strict safety protocols and handle sensitive information with discretion. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to providing compassionate care to patients. You will work closely with nursing staff, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient movement and ensure that all transportation activities are carried out efficiently and with the utmost care. Attention to detail is paramount, as you will be responsible for maintaining transportation equipment, reporting any malfunctions or safety concerns, and adhering to all hospital policies and procedures.
