Responsibilities
Ensures safe and efficient patient transport within the hospital, this role encompasses a variety of responsibilities. These include transporting patients for admissions, room transfers, testing procedures, and discharges. Additionally, the role includes transporting patients to the morgue. Furthermore, this position is responsible for the timely distribution of clinical equipment, carts, and other supplies to and from designated areas.
Safely and efficiently transport in-patients internally to and from various hospital departments as needed, including:Patient testing areas (e.g., radiology , cardiology, etc.)Other designated locations within the hospitalUtilize TeleTracking transportation software to schedule and track patient movements, ensuring timely and accurate patient transfersOperate standard hospital equipment, including beds, stretchers, and wheelchairs, with proficiency and care.Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients during transportCommunicate effectively with patients, families, and hospital staff to ensure smooth and efficient patient transfersTransport medical equipment, supplies, and other materials to and from designated locations within the hospital as needed.Utilize TeleTracking software to track equipment movement and ensure timely delivery.Assisting with patient admissions and dischargesProviding support to other departments as neededThe job summary and responsibilities listed above are designed to indicate the general nature of the work performed within this job.
