**Job Overview** **Job Overview:** Fairview is looking for a Patient Transport person to join our University of MN Medical Center East Bank team in Minneapolis, MN. **Patient Transport** is responsible for assisting in the transfer and transport of patients and will work in a collaborative environment so that the goals and objectives of treatment are achieved and will assist as needed with the physical move, lift, transfer and transport patients on the hospital premises in a timely, efficient, customer service-oriented manner. **Position Details:** + 1.0 FTE (80 hours per pay period) + evening shift + every other weekend 1pm to 930pm every other weekend 12pm to 830pm Week 1: Mon, Tue, Thur, Fri, Sat, Sun Week 2: Tue, Wed, Thur, Fri **Job Responsibilities:** Our patient transport team is responsible for: + Transporting patients to and from locations throughout the University Campus to facilitate service and assure patient safety. + Maintaining equipment and readiness to assure timely patient delivery. + Demonstrating appropriate knowledge of safety protocols, infection control standards and emergency preparedness. + Working with patients, families and all members of the medical team. + Ensuring patient satisfaction by providing prompt and timely responses to all transport related tasks. + Providing outstanding customer service to patients, families and all members of the medical team. **Required Qualifications** + Basic Life Support (American Heart Assoc or Red Cross) **Benefit Overview** Fairview offers a generous benefits package, including but not limited to medical, dental, vision, PTO/vacation and Safe and Sick Time, tuition reimbursement, retirement and more!
