We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Patient Services Representative to join our front office team. This role is essential in ensuring a welcoming and efficient experience for patients, many of whom face complex social and economic challenges. The ideal candidate will be bilingual (preferred), culturally sensitive, and committed to our mission of accessible healthcare for all.
Key ResponsibilitiesGreet and assist patients in a courteous and professional mannerSchedule and confirm appointments, including same-day and walk-in visitsVerify patient eligibility and insurance coverage, including Medicaid, Medicare, and sliding fee scale programsCollect co-pays and assist patients with financial assistance applicationsMaintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in the EHR systemSupport patient registration and intake processesCollaborate with clinical and care coordination teams to ensure seamless patient flowUphold patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and FQHC compliance standardsProvide interpretation or translation services if bilingual (preferred)QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent (required)1+ year of experience in a healthcare or community health setting (preferred)Familiarity with FQHC operations, Medicaid/Medicare, and community resources (a plus)Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skillsCommitment to serving diverse and underserved populations
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.
