promote a positive patient experienceResponsible for Patient Scheduling Pre Registration Registration Insurance Verification and ensures patients have been cleared for HomeCare visitsThe Patient Service Representative performs a variety of secretarial billing and clerical duties to include utilizing the electronic medical record EMR to schedule follow up and specialty appointments and process patient charges coordinating referrals preparing the proper paperwork and collecting pertinent patient information answering phones performing other related duties as assigned Provides administrative support to the office staffJob responsibilitiesProvides support to the Front DeskReception area and provides general administrative supportGreet all patients and visitorsAnswer incoming phone calls in a professional manner and triage the call if appropriate to ensure the patientsrsquo needs are met in a timely mannerCreate and distribute electronic messages in the EMRMail information to new patients prior to visit in accordance with department policiesAssist with general office duties such as photocopying scanning information into a patientrsquos EMR distributing reports sorting mail faxes delivering materials etcProvides back up support to other front desk staff as neededResponsible for mail processes postage equipment and office equipmentMaintains inventory processes including ordering and receiving according to appropriate levels set by Agency guidelines Coordinates and clarifies data with care management team in regards to medical supplies Identifies researches and resolves order discrepanciesEffectively organizes and maintains documentation for inventory control purposes and budgetary need pertaining to medical office suppliesformsCovers for other departments as necessaryExhibits strong customer service skills through positive helpful interactions and communicationWill actively participate in the performance improvement process known as HWPerform other
