Patient Scheduler
Patient Scheduler Location: Onsite – Vineland, NJ Training Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM Regular Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Patient Scheduler to join our team in Vineland, NJ. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of medical scheduling experience, preferably in vascular or radiology settings. This role is critical in ensuring seamless coordination of patient care and optimizing scheduling workflows. Key Responsibilities: + Patient Communication: + Communicate with patients via phone to provide appointment details, pre-procedure instructions, and preparation guidance. + Coordinate schedules based on appointment availability, imaging resources, and provider calendars. + Resource Optimization: + Enhance workflow efficiency and reduce patient wait times. + Collaborate with imaging facilities and staff to align imaging studies with interventional appointments. + Primary Contact Duties: + Serve as the main point of contact for patients, referring physicians, and healthcare providers. + Handle incoming calls, triage inquiries, and relay messages accurately. + Resolve scheduling conflicts and ensure patient satisfaction. + Record Maintenance: + Maintain accurate records of appointments, cancellations, and rescheduling. + Input patient demographics and appointment details into EMR systems. + Ensure proper documentation of imaging orders. + Patient Support: + Assist patients throughout the scheduling process and address concerns. + Ensure a positive experience from scheduling to post-procedure follow-up. + Chart Preparation: + Prepare and upload physician orders and documentation into EMR systems. + Ensure all paperwork is complete and available for provider review. + Transportation Coordination: + Arrange transportation for patients requiring travel assistance. + Collaborative Coordination: + Work with providers, technologists, nurses, and administrative staff to resolve scheduling issues. + Scheduling Duties: + Schedule ultrasound imaging, and occasionally CT and MRI. + Schedule consultations, collect patient demographics and insurance information. + Notify PARs when imaging is scheduled. + Schedule both self-referred and provider-referred patients. Qualifications: + Minimum 2 years of medical scheduling experience (3+ years preferred) + Experience in vascular or radiology scheduling highly preferred + Knowledge of medical terminology and specialty healthcare settings + Strong communication and phone skills + High attention to detail and documentation accuracy + Ability to remain calm under pressure + High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework or medical assistant certification preferred + Willingness to learn and adapt quickly during the training period Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
