You will be part of a team that counts on you to help protect patients from harm, bring comfort in moments of stress, and support quality care across the hospital. Your responsibilities will include: + Keeping a close watch over patients at high risk for falls or self-harm, staying alert and ready to act while helping them feel secure and supported + Helping maintain a safe, clutter-free environment by following safety protocols, infection prevention practices, and keeping rooms stocked and organized + Reporting any changes in patient behavior or condition promptly and partnering with the nursing care team to respond quickly + Assisting patients with ADLs (Activities of Daily Living) like eating, bathing, grooming, and getting comfortable to promote dignity and comfort + Supporting the nursing team with tasks such as transporting patients, delivering supplies, and helping the unit run smoothly The Patient Safety Attendant (PSA) participates in high-quality, patient-centered care by providing continuous observation and monitoring for high risk patients. In collaboration with the patient care team, the PSA ensures the patient environment is free of obstacles and minimizes risk of falls and accidental or intentional self-harm.
