Description Patient Registration Representative – Full-Time | Multiple Locations in Birmingham, AL Join a fast-paced healthcare team where empathy, professionalism, and dependability matter most. We are currently hiring Patient Registration Representatives for multiple hospital campuses and emergency departments throughout the Birmingham, AL area. These are full-time, on-site roles supporting critical front-line operations in a healthcare setting. Open Shifts & Schedules Multiple full-time positions available: + Weekend Days: Friday–Sunday, 6:00 AM – 6:30 PM (3x12 hr shifts, 36 hours/week) + Weekday Days: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM (5x8 hr shifts, 40 hours/week) + Early Morning Weekdays: Monday–Friday, 5:30 AM – 2:00 PM (5x8 hr shifts, 40 hours/week) + Emergency Department Roles: + Day and Night shifts available + Mix of weekday and weekend rotations + 3x12 hr shifts per week (36 hours/week) All roles are on-site and involve direct patient interaction. Key Responsibilities + Welcome and register patients in a professional, compassionate manner + Collect and verify demographics, insurance information, and documentation + Utilize hospital systems such as Epic or Cerner to enter data accurately + Coordinate with internal departments to support patient flow + Support team members and step in during high-volume times Requirements Must-Haves: + Minimum 1 year at a previous job (no short-term employment patterns) + No more than 2 employers in the past year + Strong attendance history and punctuality + Ability to stand and walk 90% of each shift + Completed and positive reference check required before offer Preferred Experience: + Epic, Cerner, or similar hospital EMR systems + Customer service or hospitality experience + Healthcare experience is a plus Top Soft Skills: + Confident, engaging communicator who interviews well + Professional, polished, and punctual + Quick thinker who works well under pressure + Team-oriented with a willingness to help others + Empathetic and patient-focused Dress Code + Business slacks or skirts (must be below-the-knee) + No jeans, open-toe shoes, or large earrings + Minimal piercings (for health/safety compliance) + Business casual tennis shoes permitted If you're dependable, people-focused, and looking for a meaningful role in healthcare, we want to hear from you.
