**What will you be doing:**
The Patient Liaison is responsible for providing efficient, personalized high-level services to patients to facilitate access to all institutional clinical services and ensure a positive patient experience. This individual serves as a designated patient navigator for patients ensuring timely access to services and providing information and resources to patients. The Patient Liaison researches and stays current on Cedars-Sinai specialty services and provides that information to the patient, assists with medical record requests, pre-admission paperwork, appointment/test/procedure scheduling and follow-up, and provides value-added personalized high-level concierge services to ensure patient satisfaction. In this role, the individual must understand and demonstrate cultural sensitivity.
+ Demonstrates full command of foreign language (Spanish) for assigned geographic area to provide interpretation services for patients. Provides real time language interpretation services during physician appointments and/or when receiving hospital services and visits inpatients daily at the hospital. May also be required to translate medical records for second opinion/consultations.
+ Partners with other internal Cedars-Sinai departments, physician offices, and external stakeholders (e. g. embassies, insurance companies, referral agencies, consultants, and third-party vendors) to support the delivery of high-quality patient care. Works effectively with other to meet goals and achieve the optimal patient experience.
+ Serves as the primary contact for triaged inquiries and active patients. Responsible for assessing and addressing the patient’s non-clinical needs (language, diet, religion, cultural, accommodations/ tourism, DME, etc), scheduling and coordinating appointments, handling complaints/ questions, and escalating issues to the appropriate supervisor in a timely manner.
+ Adheres to all patient services protocols and ensures charting is completed in appropriate applications. Performs basic audits for assigned initiatives.
+ Must take and pass the Cedars Sinai Medical Interpreter Exam.
**Qualifications**
**Experience Requirements:**
Two (2) plus years’ experience in a concierge/liaison role or equivalent.
Must be able to speak, write, and read in Spanish. (preferably in medical field)
**Educational Requirements:**
High School Diploma/GED.
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
