JOB SUMMARY
The Patient Financial Services (PFS) Manager is responsible for management of revenue cycle functions for assigned areas of responsibility. PFS managers are responsible for understanding and applying process and project management for their assigned areas to effect change in a consistent, standardized and effective manner across Marshfield Clinic Health System. This position interacts with revenue cycle staff, operations staff, clinical leadership, information systems, external contacts, patients and customers with regard to revenue cycle processes, policies and procedures.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
For positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation.
Minimum Required: One of the following:
Bachelor’s degree in business, management or a technical field related to the position and one year experience relative to the technical function of the role, to include one year in a leadership role that demonstrated personal leadership effectiveness and team‐building strategies.Associate degree in business, management or a technical field related to the position and three years’ experience relative to the technical function of the role, to include one year in a leadership role that demonstrated personal leadership effectiveness and team‐building strategies.High school diploma or equivalent and five years’ experience relative to the technical function of the role, to include two years in a leadership role that demonstrated personal leadership effectiveness and team‐building strategies.Preferred/Optional: Bachelor’s degree in business, management or a technical field related to the position and one year experience relative to the technical function of the role, to include one year in a leadership role that demonstrated personal leadership effectiveness and team‐building strategies related to the technical function of the role.
