We are looking for an individual seeking a career opportunity with one of the largest employers within the Tampa Bay area. **Position Details:** + **Location:** Largo, FL (potential to move hybrid following training) + **Status:** Full-time + **Shift:** 8:30am - 5:00pm + **Days:** Monday through Friday This Patient Financial Coordinator opportunity is a full-time position. This position requires on-site work in Largo, FL with the potential to move hybrid following training. **Responsibilities:** The Patient Financial Coordinator performs all patient accounting functions, e.g., Billing, Collections, Customer Service, Contract Adjudication and Refunds. The coordinator organizes and plans daily work with outcome-based criteria in mind and serves as a team leader in problem solving and analysis of process improvement. The coordinator functions independently and is self-directed. The Coordinator of Bad Debt and Patient Responsibility Balances in a hospital Patient Accounting Department is responsible for overseeing the management and resolution of patient accounts deemed uncollectible or requiring patient follow-up. This role involves monitoring aging reports, identifying accounts for bad debt placement, coordinating with collection agencies, and ensuring compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements. The coordinator also works closely with patients to clarify outstanding balances, establish payment plans, and resolve billing discrepancies.
