Job Overview:
The Patient Escort transports patients within the hospital network in wheelchairs and stretchers from time of admission until discharge.

Demonstrates ability to interact and communicate appropriately with patientsFunctions in an emergency situation as a team member with guidance from supervisory personnelMaintains patient transport equipment (i.e. wheelchairs) in a safe mannerPicks up and delivers equipment and specimens as requestedProperly identifies the patientRecords assignments in the Escort Log, signing patient on and off unitsReports any equipment problems immediately to appropriate personnelTransports patients in a safe and timely mannerTransports patients throughout various units/departments within CenterAdditional Information:
