**Job Summary and Qualifications**
As a Patient Customer Support Specialist, you will receive inbound, outbound, and electronic requests to assist in linking patient accounts, work on proxy queue, and services. This non-clinical role supports patients, customers, and internal stakeholders using a variety of interaction channels, including voice, email, and chat. The role is to create and maintain positive customer experiences in a patient centered, quality driven environment.
**In this role you will:**
+ Speak with customers, patients and stakeholders in a pleasant and professional phone voice; Communicate appropriately and clearly with department leadership, co-workers and customers/patients
+ Perform all components of call processing for inbound and outbound contacts; Document calls in applicable system in a timely and accurate manner and as prescribed by current standards and policies
+ Ensure performance and quality standards are met
+ Provide superior customer service to internal and external customers and patients; Support the vision and strategy of the contact center, positively promote the services offered, and elevate issues to contact center Leadership as appropriate
+ Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance on all internal and external channels
+ Easily adapt to changes in work environment or job assignment; Exhibits willingness to master new work routines and methods
+ Communicate clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing
+ Establish and maintain long-term customer relationships, building trust and respect
+ Multi-task (i.e. talking on the phone while typing, using more than one application during calls, etc.)
+ Understand when to escalate, report, or voice issues and concerns
+ Demonstrate good judgment in handling situations not covered by written or verbal instructions
+ Able to perform basic mathematical calculations, balance and reconcile figures, punctuate properly, spell correctly, and transcribe accurately
**Qualifications that you will need:**
+ 1 year of customer service experience required
+ 1 year of experience using an internet-based software program required
+ 1 year of high-volume call center experience
